The backbone of the AY House project was the theme of contrast. Two materials form a dynamic composition, which resembles a conundrum. The image of the house was defined by brutal metal consoles, which seem to float in the air, creating a weightless armor around it. Facades under the “armor” are decorated with light wooden boards, its role is to integrate architecture into the natural environment. Carefully calculated proportions, the rhythm of the windows and black slopes get two opposite materials to the holistic picture. The planning of the house is linear, on the ground floor there are studio, office and storage rooms, on the second floor there are three autonomous bedrooms with their own wardrobes and bathrooms.
